AcceptEmail handles a strict security framework and utilizes the most advanced technology in the world. This guarantees safe and reliable Electronic Billing and Payment (EBPP) via email. The Smartpix technology in the dynamic payment banner ensures that both sender and receiver can immediately see the (same) current status of a payment. The dynamic payment banner also prevents duplicate payments. For even more safety, the banner is digitally signed to ensure authenticity and non-repudiation. The information in this banner is transferred via a separate, highly secured connection.
Secured landing page
Each AcceptEmail is unique and can only be used once. Every AcceptEmail contains a secured payment banner that cannot be altered by the recipient. Upon clicking the banner the recipient starts the payment process by landing on the SSL secured and unique transaction page. The URL of this page is always https://transaction.acceptemail.com/
Encryption key
To protect data during a transaction from eavesdropping, an encryption key is used. This scrambles the data in transit through a Secure Socket Layer or SSL connection. The browser lock image that appears in the status bar ensures the user that a secure connection has been established. When pressing this lock image, the user receives more information about the level of security and by whom and how this is authenticated. The AcceptEmail transaction page currently employs the use of a 128-bit encryption key with a 2048 bit encrypted certificate to ensure that all transactions are safe and secure. This is an Extended Validation certificate, which means that our company is certified by a registered Certificate Authority – DigiCert.
Secured personal account
AcceptEmail offers every new recipient the possibility to create a secured personal account for free. All received AcceptEmails will be stored and archived here automatically. When in doubt about the authenticity of an AcceptEmail the recipient can always check his or hers personal account. If it is in there, the AcceptEmail is authentic without a doubt. When required the AcceptEmail can also be re-sent from here to the registered email address, for example if the original AcceptEmail was accidentally deleted from a mailbox. The personal account always offers the receiver a proof of payment.
User authentication
To perform a transaction AcceptEmail does not need any confidential information, like the recipients account number. The receiver is always in charge which bank he or she chooses to make the payment by debit/credit card or online banking. This is done from the secured environment from the bank or cards issuer, outside AcceptEmail.

AcceptEmail is the inventor of Electronic Bill presentment and Payment via email and security is our highest priority. In cooperation with major banks and regulators, we created a framework with recommendations for links in email messages to online payment systems. It goes without saying that AcceptEmail fully complies with these guidelines. In fact, we have more security built in than required.
